The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was, surprisingly, a rather good film. You know what’s better? The soundtrack by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis. This is Legend Of Jesse James.

G.I Jane is a movie I like more and more every time I watch it . It actually reminds me of Top Gun in the story structure. This is the Suite composed by Trevor Jones.

Frederic Chopin’s Nocturne in F Minor, Op.55, No. 1 is not something I can readily play on my piano. That’s mainly because I don’t actually have a piano. You might have heard this piece in a gazillion movies. Off the top of my head I know it was in the early George Clooney actioner The Peacemaker.

I tried falling in love with the movie The Last of the Mohicans (the one from 1992) but I can’t. The closest I’ve come is having a steamy love affair with the Main Theme which was composed by Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman. It’s sweeping and epic!

Mr. Holland’s Opus was a shameless Oscar-bait of a movie that practically came with a box of tissues. It wasn’t bad though, so there’s that. My favorite part is at the end when the orchestra plays Richard Dreyfuss’s composition An American Symphony. It was actually written by the late Michael Kamen but let’s pretend we don’t know that. In this video, the song starts at the 2:00 mark.

The band Balmorhea specializes in awesome music. I’m sure that’s what they write on their tax forms: Awesome Music Providers. Here is Night Squall.
