Music to write by #65

Mortal Kombat was a video game and then a movie. That’s when, in 1994, this techno theme became humongously popular. It’s from The Immortals duo.

When every fanboy was creaming his pants over the Inception trailer, it was assumed the promo music would be featured in the movie. But no, it was actually Zack Hemsey’s Mind Heist and in short order it became as well-loved as the Hans Zimmer score.

Orbital is a UK electronic dance music band and their epic 1992 song Halcyon and On and On has been featured in movies like Hackers and Mean Girls. It wouldn’t surprise me if this CD came with a complimentary Ecstasy pill.
