Music to write by #47 – St. Patrick’s Day

St. Paddy’s Day is just behind us but I’m still in the mood for green beer and leprechauns so I shall feature Irish (or Irish-sounding anyway) music today. Here is the moving piece Ulaid from E.S. Posthumus.

The End Credits from Far and Away encompass everything that is Irish about that score and that movie. I think John Williams did a good job, don’t you?

How To Train Your Dragon wasn’t really Irish – well, I don’t think the Dragon was meant to be Irish anyway. Then again, I haven’t seen the movie, so there’s that. However, the somewhat Celtic soundtrack by John Powell is, to put it in 2012 terms, made of win. This is See You Tomorrow.
